Diagnosis
Midlobe of mesoscutum with posterior 1/3 with engraved reticulation; median propodeum including submedian grooves and anterolateral foveas smooth and shiny, and with lateral margins of submedian grooves distinctly curved; femora white, yellowish-white, pale brown or dark brown; hind tibial spur 0.27-0.29X as long as length of hind tarsus and usually with apical part dark brown (specimens with white femora also with white spur); scutellum circular and slightly transverse, 0.9X as long as wide. This is a variable species in colours, but the distinctive characters of this species: the short and wide scutellum, the strong hind tibial spur, and the shape of the median propodeum with strongly curved outer margins of submedian grooves, should make it possible to identify the species. See also ichnivorus, spicatus and ticus.
